Patient Testimonials

Testimonial-112

"When I learned our family ophthalmologist of 30 years was about to retire from his practice, I was dismayed and concerned. Who would now give us such excellent eye care? When the San Gabriel Valley Eye Associates took over his practice, I, of course, went to them- Dr. Richardson, Kratz, and Pritchard. At my first visit I realized any concern I had was gone and my apprehension was unwaranted. They are totally qualified & competent in their field. Their attitude exudes confidence and patience and kindness; Their staff follow in their footsteps in a beautiful office environment."

Advanced Cataract Surgery

Advanced cataract & clear lens exchange surgery.

Latest innovations in cataract surgery
Restores near and distance vision

Each year millions of Americans undergo cataract surgery to remove an aging, cloudy eye lens. With traditional cataract surgery, only distance or near vision—not both—could be restored, leaving patients dependent on glasses or contact lenses.

SGVEye offers the latest alternatives in intraocular lenses (IOLs) that go one step further, fixing cataracts and restoring both reading and distance vision.

Modern clear lens exchange

Offers greater freedom from glasses

If you’re of the baby-boomer generation, you’re probably passing through the prime years for presbyopia – or "aging eyes." It’s a condition that makes reading and close-up work more difficult, unless you have reading glasses or contacts.

SGVEye clear lens exchange surgery is a great treatment alternative for presbyopia. The eye's natural lens is replaced with a premium IOL, helping you see both near and far.

Premium IOLs

Premium IOLs represent the most technologically advanced implant designs. To help your patients achieve the most satisfactory visual outcome from surgery, SGVEye uses a range of premium IOLS—accommodating, multifocal and toric. Each offers distinct benefits for restoring vision and for positive post-surgical refractive outcomes:

Crystalens® accommodating IOLs

The first, and currently only, accommodating intraocular lenses available in the U.S. They incorporate a hinge into the IOL design, allowing the optic portion of the lens to move in the eye in a way analogous to that of the natural crystalline lens. Crystalens IOLs offer the best quality distance and intermediate vision of any premium IOL currently available in the U.S.

ReSTOR® multifocal IOLs

Stationary implants that use an apodized surface to gradually blend the focusing power along the lens surface. They offer excellent near vision as well as an aspheric refractive surface for distance clarity.

ReZoom™ multifocal IOLs

These distribute light over five optical zones and provide a more natural range of vision. Also stationary implants, they provide very good distance and intermediate ranges overall.

Toric IOLs

These are designed to neutralize preoperative corneal astigmatism. With these IOLs, patients can expect excellent, uncorrected distance vision.
